Squeezing it all in

In between my hectic day and closing the month for work, looking for a new job and taking care of the family I've paused to take a look at how overgrown my garden has become!!! Seriously! It must be all the rain we had this year, I planted Coleus around my water fountain and they have taken over. I've been clipping them here and there to take in the house for arrangements but I had to take five and give them a complete hair cut. I put the extras in ball jars and set them down in my bigger planters to fill in the gaps as things are starting to die. God forbid I throw them away, I'm a dork but it just made me feel bad to throw something so pretty in the compost heap.

It's been amazing to me how fast the garden has grown, the Susan's and the mums have just about taken over which means fall transplant time. If anyone has tips on the right way to do this please clue me in to any secrets you might have.

I'm also looking for additional information on seed propagation, I'm tired of giving
"the man" (lowes and HD) my money for plants each year. If anyone knows of a good resource for basic seed propagation I would love to read up a little more.

I've also started Ella's PJ's, she has claimed her new fav color to be Orange (she is so cool!) so I bought a knit and of course picked up dinosaur buttons to go with. I'll post pics once I'm further along. I'll be finishing them up hopefully at my Thursday night sewing group, "Sewserious".
